Due to the adventures of the monument, preserved are only a few fragments from the pediments of the Temple of Athena Nike, which makes the identification of their subjects uncertain. It has been suggested that the east pediment featured the Gigantomachy and the west the Amazonomachy.

Part of a naked man’s torso. The rendering of abdomen and back muscles indicate that the man slightly bent his upper body to the right.
